what i hate about summer is that it is in coordination with the summer solstice (duh). summer solstice is the time of the year when there is more time for day and less for night for countries near the equator, that is.

anyway, i was so bummed that the moment i open my eyes, i can feel the rays of the sun hit my face. and it was only 5:30 in the morning.

being the not-so-morning person that i am, i turned to the other side of the bed and went back to sleep. i woke up 10 minutes after and was not able to go back to sleep anymore. and, i didn’t want to go back to sleep because i remembered that i needed to go to school early today.

on the way to school, there was a funny piece of memory that came to my mind.

the moment i woke up early that morning, i said to myself that i would be counting to 10 and then i’ll rise and prepare to go to school.







and then i’m asleep again.

the moment i start counting, i immediately go back to sleep without noticing it.

if i remember correctly, it has been my habit to count to 10 before rising and i don’t notice that i fall asleep every time i do. and before this day, after waking up from the sleep-after-the-counting, i just think that i have finished the counting to 10 part and then i’m off.

i was smiling inside the fx.

it was funny thought and a wonderful start for the day.

    lalo na yung kapag ineextend mo yung tulog with the funny line na “5mins pa.. tapos babangon na ako!”

  3. all these years that i wake up so early in the morning, i stil can’t get the hang of it o.o

    at ngayong summer eh super sleep-deprived ako pero dahil magcocollege na ko, i should catch up on my sleep. haha

  5. I wish that could happen to me- waking up at 530. I always sleep at arnd 4 – school or no school. It’s become a habit. So yea, consider yourself lucky. There are ppl who’d love to sleep at night but couldn’t..or wouldn’t. Hehe.
