gloominess, like happiness, is contagious.

monday

rain

transport strike

less populated school

end of summer

these are the best ingredients to concoct the gloomiest day of my life – so far.

it looks like everybody is not in the mood to do anything. i particularly wanted to go home so as to watch the finale of Survivor: Micronesia. but to no avail, i was unsuccessful.

they say that every gray cloud has its silver lining. i have seen these clouds since early morning and yet, no silver lining appeared.

by the time NatSci2 class ended, my tongue was craving for something sour+salty. with the support of hazel, i went through the shopping center to find myself a nice green mango with spicy bagoong and salt. but, no silver lining there. so i resolved into eating spicy/salty sampaloc instead. 😦

it could have been worse if not for the sign outside the ME department that read, “For fourth long exam scores and final grades, see me personally”. it was addressed to us, ES12 summer takers.

at that instant, i saw the silver lining. the writing may have been written in black permanent ink but it seemed pretty shiny to me.

surely, God would not just give out blessings. he ought to test whether we really want these blessings upon us. so, as i entered the faculty room, a long line of students who are expecting to pass.

what seemed to be hours of standing ended as i walked down the path towards my professor’s cubicle. honestly, i was not hesitant that i got high marks on this. given that i really studied for the first three exams so as to slack off on the fourth.

i was shocked to know that my professor knows my name. oh well.

in the end, i saw the grade that i was not really targeting but is happy to achieve. a 1.75 mark is not bad considering i only got 10 points in the last exam.

it could have been the silver lining. it was the silver lining. however, no matter how happy this feeling should be, the environment wouldn’t agree.

Blessing always come in disguise and God wants to see if we are really eager to see these things. Congrats on the grade by the way! πŸ˜€

  5. if survivor micronesia was the best for you, we’ll just have to wait and see for the survivor : philippines.. and see if this one will fits our taste when it comes to the survivor. haha. ^_6

woot, 1.75 is way too better than 2.75.. takte, mapapamura sa paraan nya ng pagbibigay ng grade.

wow, kudos for the 1.75! truly, emotions like happiness, and gloominess, are contagious. and should be observed very well as not to infect other. well, if its happiness, go on and spread the disease.

    btw, nice write up.
